Flock of 16 Shore Larks in Grodek-Michalowo Valley.

Adult Steppe Buzzard (dark-ruphous morph) near Maliszewo in Narew Valley. More Rough-legged Buzzards arrived to the meadows with frosty winds from NE. Some 27 counted in teh consus plot area.

Divers at Siemianowka Reservoir - 1 Black-throated and 1 Red-throated. One of the latest regional Great White Egret (obs TQ, Gaba, Michal Polakowski).

Late female of Marsh Harrier and Kestrel at Dojlidy fish-ponds (info M Polakowski).

Accidentaly found nest of Black Stork in old alderwoods of Biebrza Marshes. Small troups of Siskins, Fiedlfares and Long-tailed Tits there. Beavers "devastating" roadside trees along the "Car Road".
Dojlidy fish-ponds with flocks of 22 Mew Gulls, 26 Grey Herons and still one female Scaup (info M Polakowski).

Extremely calm weather conditions at Siemianówka Reservoir with some nice birds: Black-throated Divers (8), Red-throated Divers (2), Smew (over 60 in total). Passing flock of Shore Larks (17) over Bondary dam. Scanning from Siemianówka railway dam reveals one of the latest Great White Egrets here.

Meadows in Brzozowka and Biebrza Valleys with some fresh frost and almost without wind. Flock of 28 Golden Plovers still feeding there as well as some Rough-legged Buzzards and Hen Harrier.
One imm Scaup at Dojlidy fish-ponds in Bialystok as well as late Pintail in the town during Census of Wintering Birds (info Michal Polakowski).

At Siemianowka Reservoir - flock of Twite (24), Goosanders (19) and some 300 Mallards. In the wood near Cisowka one female of White-backed Woodpecker (info Paweł Białomyzy i Michał Androsiuk).

One late White Stork still wandering at Skupowo near Bialowieza. Nearby in Narewka late Black Redstart (info Paweł Białomyzy).
Nice group of 7 Black-throated Divers feeding in Siemianowka Reservoir, together with some Smew (12), Goldeneyes, Tufted Ducks and lonely White-tailed Eagle.
Surprising 3 Barnacle Geese passing over the Maruszka ringing camp (info T. Tumiel, M.Polakowski, M.Skierczynski).

One of first flocks of Waxwing in Teremiski near Bialowieza observed by Adam Wajrak.
Nice Bewick Swan, late Spotted Redshank and 3 Great White Egrets in Dojlidy Fish-ponds (info Tomek Tumiel).

Lonely Black Redstart jumping on rooftops in Bialystok town. Quite late here.

Partly emptied Dojlidy fish-ponds near Bialystok attract numerous ducks (Gadwall, Shoveler, Teal, Goldeneye), some Gulls including Herring Gull and Common Gull. Flock of White-headed Wagtails feeding on muddy shores with 2 unidentified Pipits. Group of eight Redwings in alder trees.

Frozen and windy fields near Ostrówek attracted only few birds looking for a hide in bushes: Fieldfares, Starlings, one Common Buzzard.

In Bondary at Siemianówka Reservoir 1 nice male Hen Harrier gliding east in calm and frosty weather..

After frosty night flocks of Bean/White-fronted Geese started heavy migration - over 1250 in 7 flocks passed SWW in Narew Valley near Wizna. One adult White-tailed Eagle flying above the road.

Dojlidy Fish-Ponds near Bialystok still with some water though they start to empty some of small pools. Nice flock of 13 Little Grebes, some ducks, passing geese overhead (12 SW).

Small floodings in Narew Valley near Tykocin with 12 Mute Swans and 7 Cranes. In Maliszewskie Lake 24 Mute Swans, 8 Bewick Swans, 16 Bean&WF Geese, some 140 Ducks (Mallards and Wigeon).

Fields near Ostrówek with some 69 Golden Plovers, 170 passing Skylarks, 2 late Cranes.

Meadows near Suchowola in Brzozowka Valley holding a group of 450 Lapwings, roughly 150 Golden Plovers

In the valley of Biebrza one adult Golden Eagle flying SW, 27 Buzzards, 3 Sparrowhawks, ca 170 Golden Plovers, 1,5 thousands Lapwings (info Janusz Kupis).
At Siemianówka Reservoir flock of passing divers (11 black-throated, 1 red-throated), ca 25 Great White Egrets, evening gathering of Cranes near Maruszka ringing camp (ca 320 ind). According to Michal Polakowski evening flocks exceed 1000 birds!!

Morning dew at Siemianowka Reservoir and some birds slowly appearing: WT Eagles (2), 2 Red Knots, 5 Little Stints and 41 Alpine Sandpipers.
One of the first autumnal Red-throated Pipit.

Long walk around Siemianowka Reservoir (30 km) produced several nice findings:
Hobby (4), White-tailed Eagle (3), Great White Egret (51), Greenshank (6), Spotted Redshank (7), Curlew (10) and late White Stork on the nest in Siemianowka village.

Valleys of Brzozowka, Biebrza and Narew still without flocks of passing birds although some of them may not liked the hot weather.
One Lesser Spotted Eagle near Karpowicze together with some Buzzards and Cranes. One adult Greater Spotted Eagle near Goniądz watched quite close near the platform. At the hill of Rus in Biebrza/Narew joint one circling White-tailed Eagle.

Near Bachury at Siemianowka Reservoir 2 WT Eagles, 3 Great White Egrets and a family of Whooper Swans with 4 youngs (2 wearing yellow collars). Near Cisowka "corner" at least 60 Great White Egrets, again two WT Eagles, 3 Black Storks, 5 hunting Hobbies :). Some shorebirds: Greenshanks, Reeves, one Curlew. Between Siemianowka and Losiniany (in the N) 7 Great Grey Shrikes, 4 Red-backed Shrikes, 2 Montagu's Harriers, one LS Eagle (Gaba, Robert K, & me).

Short after work outing to Siemianowka produced 2 unusual Turnstones, ca 110 Great White Egrets, several waders and one Sea Eagle. Unfortunately we dipped with Slender-billed Gull.

Single SLENDER-BILLED GULL!! flying north at Siemianowka Reservoir reported by Michal Polakowski. It's the 3rd Polish record - one of two previous seen in the Region too (Biebrza Marshes).

Flock of 94 Cranes, 67  Greylag Geese near Brzostowo in Biebrza Marshes. One Broad-billed Sandpiper there, too.

In Biebrza Valley near Brzostowo small flocks of Greylag Geese (21), Lapwings (ca 100), Cranes (18).
Current level of Steppe Eagles in Dolistowo reached 5 ind as reported by Pawel Kolodziejczyk. If everything goes well at the end of the season we'll have more Eagles than Storks there :)

In the fields south of Bialystok - 2 pairs of Roller and new territory of Lesser Spotted Eagle (just 15 min driving from the town).

Mixed pair of Mute and Whooper Swans at Narew old river bed near Lomza (male Whooper x female Mute) with 4 chicks (inf Tomasz Baldyga).

This time 3 Steppe Eagles ! were seen and videotaped near Dolistowo in Biebrza Valley by J. Kowalski and A and Z Wasinscy.

At least 2 Rollers in Kudrycze south of Bialystok town observed by Pawel Brzek. 
Immature Citrine Wagtail ringed at Siemianowka Reservoir camp. Three White-tailed Eagles and two Lesser Spotted Eagles there, too.

    Hundreds of Lapwings, several Cranes near Grądy-Woniecko.

    Bialowieza Forest with voices of Woodpeckers (Median, Green), passing Woodlarks and Skyalrks as well as flocks of Lapwings. Roughly 13 Buzzards passed NE migrating.  The valley of Narewka flooded (fot).

    Group of 21 Horned Larks and Snow Buntings in Ostrówek fields, first Crane flying over meadows covered with snow.
    Over 40 Roe Deer and 26 Bisons wandering out of Knyszyn Forest into the fields.

    The nesting box for Barn Owl has been located in Grandpa's barn in Ostrówek.
