One Tufted Duck at Biala River near Fasty - rarely wintering species
in North Podlasie (info Tomek Tumiel). Wood Duck flied to Radzyminska Street in Bialystok
(info Michal Polakowski).
27/12/2002 Unfortunately the Owl went home! At least it seems so.
It stayed in the village for something like 2-3 weeks
but we got the info on 22th of Dec.
Since then it was staying in the middle of the
village which isn't big indeed. You could easily spot
the bird as its favourite places were rather exposed:
tree-tops or antennas.
Currently it seems the bird left Pogorzelce.

HAWK OWL still in Pogorzelce in the morning.
In the afternoon hard to find, though. Roughly 30 people watched the bird already.
The owl mostly occupied high trees, antennas. Few times seen in flight, too.
As the weather changes into low pressure it may be the reason for bird's
disappearance.

HAWK OWL ! (Surnia ulula) in Pogorzelce near Bialowieza! The first
record for 30 years in Poland! Beautiful bird, easily approachable in the middle of the village.
